Reviews and Ratings
The hostel is ideally located near many cafés and attractions, with decent amenities like a bar and kitchen. However, the cramped room size, outdated decor, and cleanliness issues significantly detract from the overall experience. The lack of assistance with heavy luggage and a serious bedbug problem were particularly concerning.
I had a great stay with a spacious room and comfortable bedding, although the absence of an elevator made navigating the steep stairs a challenge. The location was perfect, right in the old town with shops and restaurants nearby, but be prepared for parking a few blocks away in garages. Overall, it was a delightful experience, especially enjoying the cozy atmosphere and friendly management.
My stay at the hostel was pretty decent overall. The location was really handy, being close to major sights in Bruges, and I enjoyed the cozy common area where I could relax and have some coffee. However, the cleanliness of the bathrooms was lacking, and I had a couple of frustrating interactions with certain staff members, which put a damper on the experience.
Hostel Lybeer is situated right in the charming old town of Bruges, boasting a mix of modern amenities and a rustic feel. The communal areas are inviting and great for socializing, but the room access and cleanliness could use some improvement. I had some mixed experiences with the staff as well – while some were very accommodating, others left much to be desired. Overall, it's a decent choice for budget travelers wanting to explore Bruges.
I had a fantastic experience at the hostel. It was clean, and the staff were very welcoming, making my stay memorable. I especially enjoyed the beer tasting event we participated in, which was a highlight of our visit. However, some areas of the hostel definitely need refurbishment, which slightly affected our overall impression.
